It is with great pleasure that we are inviting you to the 2025 Annual Conference of the Europe Regional Committee (ERC) of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI), which will take place on 25 and 26 September in Warsaw, Poland.

Bank Guarantee Fund (BFG) of Poland is greatly honoured to host this year’s meeting. 2025 is a landmark year for us as we celebrate our Fund’s 30th anniversary. For the past three decades, we have contributed to financial stability through effective deposit insurance and resolution frameworks. We have also facilitated global dialogue on crisis preparedness and financial sector resilience.

The ERC brings together Deposit Insurers from all over Europe whose role is vital in protecting depositors and safeguarding public confidence in financial systems. At a time of heightened geopolitical, technological, and economic uncertainty, our collaboration is more important than ever. We look forward to having engaging discussions that reflect the diversity of our regional experiences and the shared challenges we are facing.

This year’s agenda will explore timely and pressing topics, including:

  • Structural reforms for a stronger Banking Union — how recent reforms aim to strengthen crisis management, improve cross-border coordination, and ensure consistent application of resolution standards;
  • Funding solutions for crisis management — funding-related aspects of crisis management, focusing on CMDI reforms;
  • Recent resolution cases in Europe — reflecting on outcomes through the lens of the new CMDI reforms;
  • The Digital Euro and the rise of Central Bank Digital Currencies and their implications for financial stability and deposit insurers.

We look forward to learning from peers and exploring how Deposit Insurers can support sustainability.
